Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Movement = SUCCESS! I teach a Special Education Class called the Primary Learning Center. This class is for children in Kindergarten and First Grade who have Autism or are Low Functioning.

Keeping busy and moving our bodies is extremely important during our day at school. We have Occupational services for most of our kids but only once a week. These supplies that would be donated, would give me the opportunity to serve my children beyond the 30 minute session once a week.

My students need these resources (body sox, vibrating snake, weighted pillow and the touch game) so I can continue their occupational therapy sessions throughout the day. The resources that I have asked for will give the children a chance to move their bodies during the day so they will be able to focus better on their academic work. We take many break during the school day so these resources will be so helpful to my students.

With your help, you will make it possible for my students to work constructively through out the day and use their "brains and body" to the best of their ability.
