My Project

I would like to provide my students with a learning environment that is conducive for students with mental health needs. Movement and Mental Health go hand in hand. I would like to provide a safe space for students to get movement while taking a mental health break. Simply having access to movement through their day will allow a student that is stressed and anxious an outlet. Adding a standing desk and biking desk to the classroom will give student the opportunity to change their learning environment. By taking the time to acknowledge their struggle might be the motivational step needed for them to feel comfortable and therefore more likely to engage in the classroom.
