My Project

We work with the Pre-K through 5th grade special education population, including but not limited to the HORIZON and NEST Autism programs. These students are integrated within the community school, receiving occupational and/or physical therapy services. As therapy providers, we help these students regulate their bodies and develop the skills necessary in order to safely and adequately participate in learning while in their classrooms. With the right environment, students can develop the skills, tools, and strategies that will improve their abilities to learn, socialize, and be independent in the school environment. We expect our sensory and movement space to encompass the equipment necessary to maximize the success of our students during their therapy sessions.

These materials will help us to create a therapeutic environment that is conducive to their unique sensory and motor needs.
