My Students

Picture this, a classroom of 26 five-year-olds staring at you, eager to soak up any information being taught! They are excited and energetic, despite the fact that many of them come from families with very little. I want my students to have the best resources in front of them all the time!

My students are from a high poverty area of DC.

Teachers are dedicated to ensuring students have the best of what's around and students are excited to learn and grow. Every day I walk into school, I am greeted by the best-smiling five-year-olds around. It is my job to make sure I am doing everything I can to set them up for successful school careers that lead to the amazing lives that they want and deserve.

My Project

This project is designed to help my students move and learn. There also has been research done that students who have anger outbursts can benefit from using their muscles and getting that energy out in a more positive way.

I want to give my students the chance to move, learn and turn their negative energy into positive energy.

I know the bike and trampoline will help them with this! The stationary bike even has a a spot to place their tablet. We have tablets that we use for educational games and this would be a productive way to help students focus and learn. The trampoline is a spot where students can go who need to positively channel their energy. I want what is best for all students and these tools will help us get there!
