This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach a diverse population of students ranging from honors, special education, and English language learners who come from many different cultural backgrounds and educational needs. We are a Title I school which means that students come from many different social and economic circumstances. I teach seventh grade to three different ELA classes every year with thirty students. My students are located mostly in the Elmhurst and Corona area of Queens which has been hit very hard by this pandemic. I teach many newcomer students who just came over, have little to no supplies, and need a lot of support.

These mice will help my students use our Chromebooks in class. Many of my students are struggling using the mouse pad on the Chromebook and would benefit from the use of a mouse. These mice will also help the students to use on the state exams now that they are using computer based testing.
