My Project

The requested hands-on learning manipulatives and math games will help create engaging learning activities for my students. For example, the stick and ball geometry kit will help them to SEE the math by creating 3-dimentional objects. The math games and dice will help the students have fun while reinforcing concrete math skills. The dry erase boards will help them to build confidence as they seem more willing to try when they can easily erase and try again. I have chosen a variety of options in hopes that this variety can help the variety of needs and interests represented in my students. Not only do I hope to use it as a motivational tool, but I also hope to use the materials to help fill in learning gaps that may have resulted from interrupted learning in previous years.
