My Project

Working in an all boys school in an urban city is one of those things that takes great thought. How can I make this learning experience impactful for all who cross my path? I have heard endless anecdotes about how school is a drain that washed children's inspiration away only to be found in the streets where they reside. I want to change that narrative and give them something to look forward to. I want to show them that learning can be fun, chill, insightful and most of all impactful.

Help me change a young boys life this year.

Allowing children to see people who look like them, sound like them, grew up in similar situations and have still been able to succeed will do wonders for their outlook on not only education but also their life. Affirming words, motivational words from other black people feel like pat on the back to a kid who doesn't hear them often. I wanna create a space where one can feel proud of who they are and what they have come from.
