As a physical education teacher in a Title I school who teaches over 500 students, it is my role and responsibility to give my students a quality physical education experience through knowledge, skill acquisition, opportunity and excitement. Due to a low budget, my school has not had the opportunity to purchase equipment to help my lower skilled students succeed. This project has items such as the velcro toss & catch kits and velcro throwing target board that will help my students have an easier time acquiring the skills of throwing and catching.
In addition to that, the yoga mats & yoga blocks will help me provide my students with a brand-new yoga unit that they have been asking for.
This project will also allow me to replace old and broken scooters for my students who enjoy using them during various units.
Lastly, this project also has numerous items that will help me and my PE department better organize the equipment we have for these students. With limited storage space, we need to make sure everything is organized and accounted for. We cannot afford to misplace or lose any pieces of equipment because then our students will be missing out. Having additional storage & organization options will help tremendously.
