This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 7th Grade Math to English Language Learners (ELLs) speaking from various corners of the world. Since many times resources in their home language is not always accessible, I do my best to recreate information, assignments, and such in their home language. As with most students, but especially with ELLs, visuals are key to understanding and making connections.

Keeping students encouraged and motivated is crucial to their growth and acclimation to the language and to learning math.

Students that are not motivated or well supported will not flourish and meet their potential. Thus, I'm trying to help pick up some odds and ends to help keep my students motivated and engaged. Along with that are some toners to help them see the translated problems and resources in full color.
