My Project

My special education students rely on rewards throughout the day. Because the school has a small budget, a good portion of their rewards comes out of pocket, which can be very costly. I am asking for donations to offset the cost of these items that I continuously purchase throughout the year.

Your donations will greatly help those students stay focused and reduce behaviors that occur throughout the day.

My students get very distracted during the day and it is difficult for them to stay on task. This also creates many behaviors. Each student is on a program which requires them to work through each period with minimal behaviors to receive a reward. At the end of each period, they receive a ticket and can turn it in for a piece of candy as an immediate award. At the end of the day if they collect 8 tickets, one for each period of the day, they can turn those in for a drink and a snack. I like to supply the students with flavored water or sports drinks. My project can give the students a variety of drinks and snacks (chips, cookies, and candy) to choose from. This gives them the incentive to work hard to succeed.
