Motivate me and Make Sure I'm Listening

Help me give my students motivational pencils to keep class morale up and their own ear buds for different platforms that we use.

My Project

Each student needs a pair of ear buds of his or her own. We use many platforms that students need to be able to hear in order to learn all of the objectives. Most of the time when students are asked to bring in their own headphones, usually only about half the students bring them in. It would be easier on the teacher and parent if I could supply each student with his or her own pair.

Most days I have lots of students who do not even bring a pencil.

Instead of scolding students for not bringing a pencil, I would like to give them one that gives them a little inspiration for the school day. Sometimes our students are going through so much at home that a pencil is the last thing on their minds. I feel that by providing them with an inspirational pencil, they will feel like someone cares about them. I could be fussing at them for not bringing a pencil to school; instead, I'd like to show them some grace and give them something nice to look at throughout the day. Sometimes all they need is to feel like one person cares.
