My Students

I am a 1st grade teacher in a low income/high poverty school district. My students overcome challenges on a daily basis in and outside of the classroom. They work hard each day and do their best to succeed. My classroom is filled with positivity, creativity and laughter.

My students teach me how to over come adversity and hardship each day.

They are learning the skills they will need to help them succeed in their educational journey. Together as a classroom family we teach each other how to be kind, thoughtful, determined and hardworking individuals.

My Project

It's time to transform the motivation and energy in my classroom with a simple solution: Hands-On STEM based morning tubs! Hands-On Morning Tubs will benefit my students in a multitude of ways, including the following:

- Promote Socialization

- Give Students Choice

- Creats a Positive Classroom Environment

- Thinking Outside the Box

- Collaborative Learning

- Provide Opportunities for Play

I need your help! Working in a low income area there are very few resources available to create these tubs for my students. With these supplies I will create year long morning activities that will be themed after each month and become increasingly more challenging as the year progresses. The tubs will also focus on reading, writing and math skills that the students will be learning throughout the year.
