Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project with supply my students with morning STEM tubs. These STEM activities will be engaging for all students. Morning bins have proven to help students ease into the day when they walk into the classroom. Morning STEM activities allow the students to engage in play by exploring, creating, touching, and thinking. Morning tubs warm up student minds and hands for a day of learning. The materials selected are materials that students can build, draw, and design. I call them brain bins! Engaging in creative play, gets the children excited for the day!

This project will also help create a calming center in our classroom.

Calming centers are safe spaces in the classroom that allow children to take a minute in a separate space to take a break and regulate their emotions. The calming center would be equipped with fidgets and soothing sensory toys.
