My Students

We were finally able to get anew computer for the classroom for the students to access! Unfortunately, the computers do not come with any software the students can use to enhance their learning. We also need the "Ring" to help guide our ever so growing class walk safely around campus.

My students are Pre-K students with special needs who range in the ages of 3 years old to 5 years of age.

The student in class usually stay with me for two years to get them ready with Kindergarten and social skills to help them become successful and independent learners. With the success of our program, we have about 70% of our students who culminate and enter a general education Kindergarten class-ready. We are the only Special Education class on our elementary school. I am always for proud of all the progress all of our students make.

My Project

My students need software, such as Microsoft Office, Numbers and Counting Adventures and Alphabet Games to be downloaded into the new class computers we will be receiving soon. We also need a Hold-A-Ring Walking Rope to help walk together safely. Now that we will be receiving our new laptop computers to allow our students to access computers that work, we need to provide appropriate software. The educational software will help provide our students with and without limited speaking ability a way to interact with computers and their peers to still be able to play games that would help encourage interaction among their peers. The "ring" would help provide a safe way for our students to mobilize around campus safely. Our current home-made rope that the teacher has made is not long enough for new students who may enter soon.
