My Students

I teach at a Title I school in which 84% of my students qualify for free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch. About 40% of my students are English Language Learners (ELL).

Although many of my students face adversity, their challenges do not define their ability to learn and be successful students.

My students enjoy reading, listening to books, and learning new math skills. They are literally like sponges and soak up every new skill that is introduced to them. Their desire to learn despite the obstacles they often face is nothing short of amazing!

My Project

These supplies and storage items will help me create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for my students. In addition, the supplies will provide them with the necessary materials to help them be successful learners in the classroom. The storage items will help my young learners learn to be more organized. This is vital as they begin their foundational learning in Kindergarten.

My students learn best when they have unlimited opportunities to engage in hands-on learning experiences.

These supplies and storage materials will help me provide them with those opportunities and help me to best prepare them for first grade.
