Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a group of vibrant, jovial young stars. Most of my scholars qualify for free or reduced lunch.

They are a joy to work with everyday.

They are excited about returning to in-person learning. They are excited about their school and their community. They love to learn.

My Project

My co- teacher and I teach 25 students in our kindergarten class. We have been trying our hardest to adhere to the social distancing guidelines as we teach whole group and small group. Unfortunately, we have limited seating and limited tables. We have been forced to use our own desk for some children. Please help as we would like to teach our scholars in a safe way and can use your support in purchasing seats that we can use at the desk and in our meeting area.

We are also creating a cozy corner for our students to support their social-emotional needs.

We understand that our students will benefit from small brain breaks throughout the day. They may even require a moment or two to calm their bodies and their minds with the requested fidget toys if they are feeling down.
