Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my class spend most of the day working on requesting items. These items can be snacks, play items, or just basic communication with others. By storing preferred items out of reach of my students, we are able to work on requesting those items. An example of students requesting objects to play would be asking for help by either signing or using the PECS picture exchange.

 

My class includes non-verbal students who are learning to communicate by requesting items. By having most of our items in bins, we also need to make sure that our room stays organized. The shelves with help with the storage of the students' bins.
