My Project

My first graders love Mo Willems! Willem's Elephant and Piggie books are often the first picture books that students are able to independently read. Students light up when they read and share the silly stories with each other. We recently discovered Willem's series called Unlimited Squirrels. Students really want more copies so that they can read them together in small groups. That is why I am requesting multiple copies of the same book.

We just can't get enough Mo Willems in first grade, and we would love more!

My hope is for this project to help boost our class library with books that students will love to read. These books are perfect for not only practicing decoding words, but also they are an excellent way to practice fluency. The characters in these books are very expressive!
