This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It's amazing to see how my students eyes light up when I bring my iPad to school to teach a skill, read a story online, or even practice handwriting strokes! I can only imagine the possibilities if we had a classroom set. The challenge facing my students is that we need more iPads

My students are a sweet, responsible bunch of full-day kindergarten kids.

They are always excited about technology, and have learned to use Apps at home to read and practice foundational skills. We've already come up with some exciting reading and writing activities using my one, personal iPad. Their excitement has inspired my request.

My Project

Having a small set of iPads will not only inspire learning, but will allow for quality small group instruction using tools that are simple, effective, current, and convenient. I can only imagine a shared reading experience with my students as they track the print on their iPads, highlight sight words with their finger tips, and click on colorful, animated pictures to support their comprehension. A small set of iPads would make big difference!

Even at the young age of a kindergarten student, children understand the possibilities and learning freedoms iPads offer.

It is my job as a caring educator to provide my students with the best instructional practices with the use of iPads. Please consider our request, and thank you for caring!
