This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a unique campus and serve our community to the best of our ability. Our students are imaginative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They enjoy active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box! I work with two other adults; our room is the math room. We work with students who face many daily challenges but are willing to try their best when the opportunity is presented to them.

Many students in our classroom come in saying that math has been a difficult topic in the past.

We work hard to try new approaches and fill in the gaps of our student’s knowledge base. Our small class sizes allow us to individually instruct each student.

Each child in our classroom absolutely loves learning although individual ability differs greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies to ensure that each student's needs are met. Our students are incredible and benefit greatly from any additional supports in our classroom.

My Project

Our district has access to many online and app-based materials. iPads in our classroom will provide us the opportunity to better access this curriculum. It will also provide us the opportunity to help our students access remedial things like multiplication fact games, as well as, other fun math games. Application-based resources will increase engagement. Ipad will also allow us to explore new and exciting math topics which will provide real-world examples of the things we learn every day. Ipads will be new to our classroom, I am sure the possibilities are endless!

By donating this iPad project, you will help to improve student attention and focus, you will also help to increase student academic achievement.
