This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Baltimore City teacher in PreK. I would like to improve my dramatic play and SEL calm down corner. I am trying to improve my classroom by providing the students with a wide variety of dramatic play food options. The SEL calm down corner is used for students to have a safe, quiet area to go to when in need of a break. It is also used as a center to inform students on coping techniques to help them when they need to express their feelings. Both of these centers will help the students with their life-long social skills.
