My Students

Our school may be small, but it is mighty! Every child has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation.

It is so exciting to have students back in the classroom, but I want to be able to provide the best materials for their learning environment.

My kids are looking for new books that will pique their interest and quench their thirst for new topics to read about.

My students each have a story to tell that would amaze you. They come from different backgrounds with different experiences. Together, we are like a mosaic - all unique but together we create a beautiful picture!

This project will reach all 7th and 8th-grade students within our school. Our district is a one-on-one Apple school, but I have so many students that still prefer to read a paper book. The feeling of a book in your hands is unmatched! I want to be able to provide some new, diverse, and interesting books for my students.

My Project

Every teacher dreams of students coming to them and asking for books to read. I have been able to experience this over and over again because of a previous project that was fulfilled by wonderful donors on this website.

My students have devoured all of those books and are desiring more books to read that they can see themselves reflected in.

In fact, some of my students have come to me with titles asking if I could get them a copy of the book because they have been dying to read it. How can I say no?!

By getting more books that feature diverse characters, I hope to reach all of my students, whether they are an avid reader or a reluctant one. Every child deserves to see characters just like themselves!
