My Students

As a new teacher, I have been blessed with the gift of beginning my teaching career surrounded by fifth grade students. Their creative minds and ecstatic personalities make every day unique and its own. In a kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school, my fifth grade students are the role models for the rest of their school (academically and with great values). They have many years of elementary experience, yet will soon get more responsibility and knowledge moving to middle school, giving them the wondrous life of leadership and learning.

As a fifth grade teacher, my classroom is a world full of passionate learners and readers.

My students come from different personal and learning backgrounds, however, they are all seeking an adventure from their every day lives. My students are on the hunt for inspiration and motivation to make their school and individual lives a success.

My Project

I have requested books like The City of Ember, Fish in a Tree, Moo, Booked, and more for our classroom library. My students read independently in our classroom for at least 30 minutes each day and over 3 hours a week. I would love to expand our classroom library to allow for more passionate readers!

I am a new fifth-grade teacher, I would love to give my students the opportunity to have a handful of books that they are excited to read!

It has been challenging to find books that students are interested or stay interested in. The requested books are all highly recommended and award-winning books for fifth-graders to read! Not only will this expand our classroom library, it will promote lifelong readers and learners. This project will change my students' lives because they will see that everyone in the community cares about their education and future.
