This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I work with a wonderful group of multilingual learners by collaborating with classroom teachers and supporting students in their classrooms. I also pull out small groups to teach specific skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
The bilingual books that you are helping to fund will help my multilingual learners progress in the English language.
These books will help my students improve their language acquisition and academic performance. It is important students maintain their native languages so that they can continue to benefit from being bilingual.
My students will be allowed to take these books home allowing them to read with their parents and other family members. Each student will be excited to be able to read with their family members.
