My Project

These reading comprehension passages will provide rigorous, standards-based practice of essential reading skills for my 4th graders.

Teaching reading can be tough.

These passages will help review skills throughout the year in a fun and informative way. They will also help ensure that my students are better prepared for the Virginia Reading SOL Test in May.

My students are from a rural Title I school. There’s not as many opportunities for my students as opposed to other places. These passages will help broaden the knowledge of my 4th graders. Many of the pieces are informational texts, which will provide exposure of new places and topics for my students.
