Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are between the ages of five and four. They are just starting their school experience and many of these students come to school lacking the basic foundations needed to succeed, not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.

We need to start with tables and chairs that are age-appropriate and conducive to an inviting learning environment.

Every student learns through different modalities and it is important to provide a variety of manipulatives for math and reading. This table is the perfect size to spread out counters or magnetic letters

These developmental years are crucial and they require hands-on learning, small group instruction, creative play, the use of manipulatives, auditory processing, and social opportunities.
