This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach reading to 8th grade students who a getting ready for high school. I know that time spent reading is one of the best predictors of student success, so I offer remedial reading instruction to students who need it and encourage them to read their interests.

The move to remote instruction has been difficult for my students and me.

While I endeavor to support them through multiple support, it is difficult for me to supervise student work and discussion at the some time. Therefore, I am requesting a second monitor to help me.

My Project

This project will provide me with a second monitor so that I can effectively deliver instruction remotely from my school laptop. The second screen can be used to help small groups, conference with students, better evaluate student work in process, or present additional information. This project will allow me to engage all students more effectively

Remote learning due to COVID-19 has been a struggle for my students and me, but we have adapted and are now using available tools to learn as effectively as we would have in the classroom.
