Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to support an exciting new project aimed at building financial literacy concepts for my 3rd-grade class. This tool and its resources is crucial to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the financial aspects of their lives confidently and responsibly. This gift card will allow me to access high-quality, engaging resources specifically designed to make financial literacy concepts accessible and enjoyable for young learners. By integrating these resources into my curriculum, I aim to achieve several key goals:

Understanding Money Basics: Students will learn about money management, including saving, spending, and the importance of budgeting.

Introduction to Financial Responsibility: Through interactive lessons and activities, students will explore the value of earning, making informed financial choices, and setting short- and long-term goals.

Cultural Relevance: Many of my students come from Hispanic backgrounds, and it is important to me that the resources I use are culturally responsive and relatable. This will help ensure that the lessons resonate with their personal experiences and family dynamics.

Building Confidence: Financial literacy is not just about numbers; it’s about building confidence and empowering students to make smart decisions that will benefit them throughout their lives.
