My Project

The students in our classroom are already beginning to plan their futures. They are thinking ahead to life after graduation, looking into working summer jobs, and wanting to save for a car or future apartment. Money management can be a difficult skill to grasp, especially if you struggle with math calculations. Without the basic math skills required to make change, balance a checkbook, and make and maintain a budget, our students will struggle with their finances in the future.

Our students need money manipulatives and budgeting activities to help them plan for their financial futures.

These materials will give us the opportunity to practice these practical life skills before they begin working those first high-school summer jobs.
