My Students

Teaching young people about money now can change their financial future.

My students have social emotional, intellectual and some physical special needs.

They are part of a special needs program. They are in small self contained classes to address their learning needs. Even within the classrooms, small group instruction and differientated instruction is implemented to address their needs further. All of their academics are modified to meet their academic and social emotional needs.

My Project

Due to my students having social emotional and intellectual special needs, for the most part short attention spans develop. Because of the short attention span, we need to find ways to extend their attention longer. Using hands on item and computer activities it will assist by grabbing their attention longer with learning about money. The activities we will be able to incorporate in our lessons about money with the money cd rom, big magnetic, match and learn money center is teaching our students how to identify and count money.

Your generous donation of the money cd rom, magnetic big money, match and learn money center can assist with improving financial independence for my students.

My students will gain a stepping stone about how to use money wisely for future expenses.
