My Project

The Makerspace is an integral part of any modern school library. It gives students the opportunity to explore their interests, collaborate, and socialize with their peers. The materials I am requesting will help build the Makerspace in our middle school library.

Because our school is a new school this year, I am creating this Makerspace for our new students from scratch.

My goal is to provide students with a place at school where they feel comfortable and confident to create, play, and have fun with their classmates.

I am requesting many creative items such as markers, colored pencils, stickers, and patterned paper for students to use for drawing, making cards or notes, or coloring. There are many games that my previous students loved, such as Headbandz and Giant Uno, that encourage critical thinking and problem solving, as well as being fun! Lastly, there are some STEM items on this list that are often requested by students and connect to the curriculum.
