Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I plan to use all of these resources to support students with disabilities and general education students during mandated counseling sessions. Being a counselor within the NYC public school system I encounter many challenges and don’t have all the resources that I feel is needed to create a safe, clean space, where all my students feel seen, supported, and heard. No two days are alike, and no two periods are alike and everyday my office is filled with happy emotions and sad emotions. My goals is to create a calm environment where my students can relax, destress and focus, while they set goals for the future in becoming the best versions of themselves.
