Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd-grade students are kind, caring, and excited to learn about the world around them. They begin every day looking to share their experiences and foster relationships with their peers and teachers. My students have developed a love for learning and enjoy studying and learning about new topics.

This year, I am teaching a class consisting of fully remote students.

Although they are currently not in the traditional setting they are used to, they work extremely hard within this new classroom setting each day. They have been working diligently to adapt to significant changes in their daily schedules, academics, and social lives throughout remote learning due to COVID-19 while keeping a positive outlook.

As my students and I navigate through full time remote learning, I am hoping to provide them with materials and content that would mirror the in person school experience they were receiving prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

My Project

With the ongoing changes occurring and this new way of learning being implemented, educators have been working diligently to think outside of the box in order to deliver instruction to their students. Teachers Pay Teachers has consistently been a support system for educators around the country looking for ways to meet the needs of their students.

Since my class consists of full time remote learners, not all will have access to unlimited materials and resources that would be readily available during in-person learning.

As their teacher, it is my duty and responsibility to ensure that although learning will take place while at home, the content I deliver is still effective and differentiated for the individual needs of my students.

Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards can allow for me to ensure that I have a variety of different methods to meet my students’ needs in a virtual manner throughout the 2020-2021 school year. These gift cards will also allow for me to keep my full time remote students engaged in their virtual learning experiences and help continue to foster the love for learning they so strongly showed during in person learning.
