A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
I have 3 different levels of physics classes each day. Starting with Physics 1, AP Physics B/ IB Physics and ending with Physics C with one planning period in between.
My students in Physics C/AP and IB Physics are well motivated.
They are ready for challenges and I enjoy engaging them in active learning. In a typical Physics 1 class there is a mix of varying skill level students. The school is located in a challenging neighborhood. The school has a magnet program.
My Project
If my students were engaged in more hands on activities involving modeling techniques in physics, their concept building and problem solving skills would improve. The students would develop these skills by collaborative and Socratic methods. The equipment combined with technology will help them become better learners.
My classroom will be definitely benefited by better hands on activities, technology, collaborative work among students and sharing of best practices by me with my colleagues teaching the same subject.
