My Students

Our smart and engaging students are interested in expanded opportunities. They want to explore their ideas with hands-on projects that allow them to develop and solve problems in a way that reflects the nature of such context in real life. Our students only see possibilities in the world despite the many obstacles they face outside the classroom. Our students are bright, engaging, clever and believe in themselves. As their teacher, I am committed to providing them with unlimited opportunities to have fun.

My Project

My students love working with their hands. I want to start using modeling clay for some of our projects that are usually created with drawing supplies. This transition will help a lot of my students who have trouble engaging with drawing supplies still feel successful. Making a mark on a paper can be incredibly scary for a lot of kids. The fear of failure is debilitating to the point that they just won't participate. Having supplies that are tactile, help students overcome these fears. They forget their desire for perfection and allow themselves to experiment and learn. Encaustics do the same thing just in their own magical way.
