Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Flexible seating allows students to learn on their terms and based on their necessities. As a teacher one has to understand that not all students learn the same. I have taken flexible seating to a different level and want to provide my students with a mobile working desk. With a mobile working desk my students can work at their preferred learning style without interrupting their peers. Students will not only be able to work standing during independent time but also during whole group. The mobile desk will not disrupt instruction time and will minimize distractions between my students.
My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work.
The products I have selected will give my students the opportunity to work within their comfort zone. These products will allow students to focus on their work. The storage trays give my students the opportunity to keep their materials in a safe space and minimize the possibility of losing their belongings. I want to ensure all students feel comfortable in my class.
I strongly believe that providing my students the ability to choose how they learn best will increase their interest in learning.
