My students are creative middle schoolers who are interested in exploring the world of art. Students manipulate a variety of media in our classroom as they find a variety of solutions to challenges they approach with visual answers. Our school is a great place for learning and I am proud of the accomplishments of our students, which include recognition at local, state, and national competitions. In addition to achieving this success, my students are interested in giving back to the community through a variety of charitable activities.
My Project
Every year we celebrate students with a Fine Arts celebration after school. During this event, students share their Art and Music with a wider audience through displays and performances. We also use this event to raise food and funds for our local food bank.
This year we would like to invite those who come to support our students to create a mobile masterwork by making a button.
In addition to the schedule of performances, there will be an area for families and students to create a series of buttons and make wearable art that promotes and celebrates the creativity of our community.
