My Students

I am a co-teacher in an inclusion classroom of 16 very eager learners. They are "beautiful" students in every aspect of the word. They love to read. They love to question. They love to explore everything within their limitless imaginary lines, colors, shapes, and letters. The world, in my students' vision, is still a very kind, amusing, funny, and amazing world. Their smiles are contagious. Their hugs are given freely with no demand other than a bigger hug that you can possibly extend to their giggling bodies!

"A great lesson is not just about learning, it is about creating memories." It is with this in mind that as their classroom teacher, I wish for each and every one of them, a learning environment that would create and sustain this goal, and a personal longing of mine.

They won't be first graders for a long time. I would love to tap into their boundless energy and enthusiasm to conquer new "worlds" of learning.

My Project

Our classroom needs a new bookcase to house our well loved books. Our books are housed all over the classroom in different containers and locations. This book shelf would save us valuable time by keeping our well loved books stay organized. The color coded system would teach our students to identify the books per the labels and colors assigned to each book housed in this bookshelf.

An organized and mobile bookshelf would greatly complement our new reading nook.

The new reading corner and bookshelf would enhance our students' love of reading. This new place leads to exploring the new ideas glimpsed from the pages of their books!
