My Students

Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with many receiving free lunch. This is a Title I school where many students are receiving extra help with math and reading to try to get them close to where they should be for their grade.

These 8-9-year-olds are very eager to learn but just don't always know how.

They are full of life and excitement! School is the place where they can go to feel safe during the day.

My Project

Our class needs some new books to read as well as some options for read aloud for the class. We also need some new materials like the Creative Kids Flakes that will give us the chance to build and think outside the box! We also use the craft items such as the paint and stencils to be creative.

My students are ready to have some different seating choices that allow them to not have to use a hard plastic chair all day!

The new table and poufs will let them move around a little more and also feel more comfortable. Our classroom has not felt as comfortable this year and I would like to change that for the students.
