Miss Sand's First Year Classroom

Help me give my students the supplies and recourses they need to be successful in first grade. This is my first year being a teacher and I want to help create the best environment for all my students!

My Project

These items will help my students and me start our first grade classroom together, as this is my first year teaching. The books will help to start our classroom library and build a strong love of reading. We want the classroom to feel like home so the flexible seating, comfortable rugs, and creating a warm space is very important to me. Students learn best when they can be hands on so the blocks, play dough, and other materials will be used to support and foster a space where they can discover through play. It’s also important to me to always have snacks on hand for studnets that might not have any so they know I’ll have extras.

My goals for this project are to get some things off my list to help support my students.

I want to be able to create the best possible environment for them where they feel safe, welcomed, and at home while learning. This group of kids is so special as they will be my first group of students as a teacher and are truly some of the kindest, smartest, and most sweet kiddos. They deserve to have a space at school where they can learn and express themselves, so I’m hoping with this project I can get the things needed to create that space!! Anything you can give is more than enough and beyond appreciated by myself as well as by my students!
