Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

(I will be using credits and gift cards for this proposal, FYI!) I absolutely love this time of year! Once October hits, my kids and I become full of excitement and happiness. First, it is Halloween, then my birthday on November 4, followed by Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, and Kwanzaa. It is my favorite season of the year and I go completely out with the decor and thrills!

So as my lovely donors already know, I held a "Halloween Extravaganza" for my kids four weeks ago on Halloween (thank you again for the supplies!) and the kids had great fun so I have decided to throw a "Winter Extravaganza" before we go out for Winter Break.

I am asking for a tree and decorations for our classroom; wall and teaching clocks because our previous clock fell off of the wall a couple of weeks ago and shattered--glass was EVERYWHERE!

The holiday tree will be decorated with the ribbon, garland, and wreaths requested in this proposal and ornaments painted by the kids.

We will wear the holiday headbands and use the electric tea kettles to make hot chocolate during our holiday party.

Why am I so insistent on giving my kids an awesome holiday experience? This year, it seems as if everybody is sick with the flu or bronchitis, attitudes are elevated, and patience is short. I want my boos to enjoy this time of the year--to feel the positive magic I felt when I was their age!
