Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I absolutely love this time of year! Once October hits, I become full of excitement and happiness. First, it is Halloween, then my birthday on November 4, then Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. It is my favorite season of the year;

I go completely out with the decor and thrills!

So as my lovely donors already know, I held a "Halloween Extravaganza" for my kids two weeks ago (thank you again for the supplies!). The kids had fun so I have decided to throw a "Thanksgiving Extravaganza" next Tuesday before we go out for Thanksgiving Break and a "Winter Extravaganza" before we go out for Winter Break.

I am asking for coloring books, stickers, and craft kits to hold art and creative stations; holiday trees and ornaments to decorate the classroom; and, glasses, slap bracelets, and rubber bracelets for gifts.

During the 'extravagant' stations, my kids will use the stickers to create sticker picture collages; and the craft kits to create Fall trees, snowmen, and bejeweled snowflakes. The coloring books should be self-explanatory!

The holiday trees will be decorated with the ornaments requested in this proposal and ornaments painted by the kids during our Thanksgiving Extravaganza next week.

What are trees without presents under them? I will put the glasses, slap bracelets, and rubber bracelets in gift bags and place them under the tree. Doing this will make them gasp!

Why am I so insistent on giving my kids these experiences? This year, it seems as if everybody is sick with the flu or bronchitis, attitudes are elevated, and patience is short.

I want my boos to enjoy this time of the year, no matter how they celebrate!
