At the end of the school year I would love for my students to be able to intuitively solve problems on their own using knowledge they already have. I have an amazing group of 7th graders from many different walks of life and challenges and I love the glow of seeing them feel successful.
I have 7th graders who have been through challenges a child shouldn't have to face.
Their adversity and pushing through their daily obstacles to get to my math class is my motivation for giving them nothing less than an amazing education. My school is very family oriented and my kids view it as a community, us building one another up to succeed.
In our classroom, it is very limited in space and structure due to the number of students in my class. Each class has between 26-30 students and we have one bookshelf that holds their binders. The students' binders hold their materials for Math and Science in which they have the same classroom in. These holders will give easy access to their binders and make space in our classroom maximized.
This project helps make a HUGE difference in my classroom because I would spend less time organizing and setting up for my students and more time preparing and spending time with my students to help push them.
This will also give my students more time to learn and less time switching binders out to help set themselves up and move the previous classes out of the way.
