Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic, curious, and hard working. These materials will help my students learn the way children learn best, with hands on, interesting, and fun materials that they can touch, manipulate, contemplate, and explain while solving real world problems.

These resources are organized in a developmentally appropriate order, giving access to students who are learning the basic concepts of numerals and challenging students who have progressed throughout the trajectory of needed life skills.

The materials will help me plan and present opportunities for acquiring and mastering new skills for all of my students, most of whom are from underrepresented groups of people in the mathematics world/professions.

We are committed to honoring and representing each other’s identities by creating authentic academic experiences and personal relationships in preparation for engaging powerfully with the real world.
