This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The super 2nd graders are a group of 24 students in the upper west side of Manhattan. It is an ICT classroom comprised of general education and special education students.

The super 2nd graders are an eager group of students with a love of learning.

They enjoy reading and writing about new topics and utilizing technology to research these new and exciting areas of study. The super 2nd graders are a group of wonderful students eager to try new things and learn new information every day!

My Project

In our classroom, we conduct the first part of every lesson on the carpet together. It is essential to all come together to introduce the lesson, learn what the objective is, and practice the skills we are working on together before students go to their desks to try out the new skills independently.

By having a circle time teaching easel for instruction and clipboards for the students, it will improve our learning time together on the carpet.

The easel will be used to model and reinforce skills that we are learning while the students can participate with their own work on clipboards. These supplies will enhance our mini-lessons conducted on the carpet!
