My Project

I am so excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Mindfulness, Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and Yoga Teacher Training with Breathe for Change!

As a school social worker, I am always looking for ways to enhance my student's social-emotional learning and overall wellness.

I am inspired and re-energized at the opportunity to be a part of the Breathe for Change training program, which will enhance my skills to support social-emotional learning in the classroom and with student groups. Also, I am excited to be able to offer inclusive and trauma-informed yoga classes to young people! Since my students have limited access to extracurricular activities, this will be available to so many more students! Students will obtain skills to help them stay focused and ready to learn in the classroom, while also staying regulated and peaceful to have positive social interactions. Not to mention the gained confidence and self-esteem from mastering something new! I am eager to dedicate time and attention to my professional growth in order to obtain new skills to help my students thrive.
