Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The items I am requesting will make a difference in our student's learning by helping them better manage their feelings and emotions. My goal for this project is to increase Tier 1 interventions to support social-emotional learning for students. As you can imagine, it is hard to focus in class when you may be thinking about things happening at home, in your community, or your relationships.
I want students to have the skills to overcome obstacles, develop resilience, and learn the benefits of mindfulness.
I will hold weekly workshops to focus on mindfulness and coping skills and I need these items to support my efforts.
