This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Children play. Nobody has to tell them to make time for it. But as adults, we can forget what play is, how vital it is, and even how FUN it is!
Our students will engage in counseling and play through mindfulness.
Supplies like games, stickers, art projects, and SEL projects will enable our wellness center to have supplies to help students engage. Books will be used for bibliotherapy. The mindfulness stickers will be given to taught mindfulness, breathing and other anxiety reducing strategies. Art therapy supplies will help students express and learn about their emotions.
