My Project

I would like to take this self-paced online course to help better my ability to implement mindfulness practices throughout the school day. Teaching the children mindfulness practices will positively impact their social/emotional well being. They will learn techniques to self-regulate during difficult times. When a child is feeling emotionally regulated, it is much easier for them to learn other skills, such as, academic ones. In my opinion, Social/Emotional learning is the most important part of preschool. This course will help me teach the students about two components of social/emotional well being: self-awareness and self-regulation.
