My Project

Mindful munchies or snacks will provide those healthy snacks to students during class time so that they may be able to focus, concentrate to enhance their academic performance, and overall well-being. The food at schools is generic and basic in which many of the students refuse to eat it or they just toss it in the garbage. It is a proven fact that students can not learn if they are hungry.

The goal of this project is to be able to enhance the snacks that I have also purchased with my personal funds and grow my snack shed with even more food and snacks.

We have been cooking in the classroom twice a month and the students are not only filling their tummies but learning how to measure and prepare food ... a vital life lesson in high school. I have always been that teacher that has food for students and this will just help me be better at that role.
